By Evang. Corey Tolbert

Christ Apostolic Church North America (Latunde Region) Youth and Young Adult Ministry held her annual Convention from Wednesday, July 17 to Friday, July19, 2019.

The powerful 3-day programme was jampacked with incredible worship and praise ministrations, powerful prayer, Godly fellowship, informative sessions, and nightly impartation sessions where the Holy Spirit moved and God was glorified.

After the initial worship and praise session, a group of approximately 100 youth and young adults from across North America were welcomed by the Director of the Youth and Young Adult Ministry for CAC North America, Pastor Adekunmi Browne.

Pastor Browne thanked everyone for their sacrifice in traveling to Blue Ridge Summit, PA, the location of CAC Village and  headquarters for the Latunde Region.

As the first day progressed, the size of the group grew to over 200. Those in attendance were able to witness a powerful drama ministration from members of the CAC Garden of Praise youth and young adult ministry.

Youth and young adults were then divided into smaller groups and had the chance to discuss and strategize on how they can bridge familiar and generational gaps between youth and young adults and their parents.

The first night concluded with a truly powerful, spirit-filled impartation session led by Pastor Browne.

The second day was set aside for a fellowship picnic. After an impactful morning worship, praise and prayer session, the entire Convention came together to eat delicious food, play sports, swim, take pictures, laugh, and celebrate our unity in Christ.

Later that night, the most powerful part of the programme took place. With about 250 people in attendance, night impartation service was led by Pastor Michael Whyte.

The man of God began with a powerful praise session and you could feel the atmosphere shift. The spirit of God saturated the place and many who never felt His presence before felt it for the first time. Chains were broken. Eyes were opened. Curses were nullified. Demons were cast out. This was an impartation like many had never seen before.

The programme continued by Pastor Adewale Adelegan from CAC Mount of Redemption. Pastor Adelegan brought many to a higher realm through his communication of the Word of God in various tongues. Many lives were touched that night.
The programme continued Friday. The mandate from Pastor Browne was that everyone should wear the OneCAC t-shirt.

OneCAC is an initiative from the CAC North America Youth and Young Adult Ministry to unite everyone in CAC regardless of age, title, location, and any other barrier. By this time, there were almost 300 youth and young adults in attendance.

Highlights from Friday’s programme included greetings from the newly retired Superintendent of Eastern DCC, Pastor (Dr.) Solomon Oyeleke. After the man of God encouraged the youth, the regional superintendent for Latunde Region, Pastor (Dr.) T.A.O. Agbeja, addressed the youth and young adults thanking the multitude that came to Convention and encouraging the group to remain steadfast in the Lord.

By the Grace of God, all of the shirts that were produced for the occasion were sold out. Additionally, for the first time, the ministry created wristbands as a fundraiser. They were incredibly popular and we sold out of those as well!

Later that afternoon, 11 youth and young adults receiving the Distinguished Spirit Award for excellence in their youth ministries. Pastor Adewale Adelegan received the 2019 Servant Leader award for his indefatigable efforts in the ministry in Philadelphia. The New England DCC received the 2019 DCC/Zone of the year award for the level of growth observed in this DCC over the last 4-5 years. The recipients had the honor of receiving their awards from the Regional Superintendent.

In addition, the Youth and Young Adult Ministry was able to present Pastor Browne with 2 awards in front of the entire adult congregation and leadership.  One award was presented on behalf of the Prayer Ministry and the other was on behalf of the entire Youth and Young Adult Ministry for Pastor Browne’s “leadership and zeal for the work of God.”
Friday night concluded with a group photo and the final impartation service. God showed His face for a third night in a row and the Spirit has His way.

DCC Superintendent of Vineyard of Mercy DCC, Pastor Anu Ojo delivered a powerful sermon encouraging the youth and young adults not to let their light dim but remain steadfast in the Lord.

The leadership team of CAC North America Youth and Young Adult Ministry couldn’t be more thrilled with the success of this Convention.
