While delivering his speech on the topic "You Are Selected For Service" at the opening seminar held at Life and Power Zonal headquarters, the Zonal Superintendent, Pastor Mich 'Tunji Oladapo told the prospective Elders and Deaconesses that no man receives anything except he is being given from above, saying that this means that God has decided to involve them in the next phase of His programme for the church.

He noted that this call is more than a call to be titled, but a call to serve, urging them to remember that to whom much is given much is expected.

According to him, the call came because of the urgent need for committed people, who could serve in the leadership capacity in order that the original intention of God for the church to come to pass.

"You have been selected because the church of God is in need of people who are committed to the things of God;
who are teachable, responsible, available and reliable. God is in need of people who are matured, trustworthy, honest and faithful in all things," he noted.

Pastor Oladapo further stated  that God needs people who have passion for Him and have acquired the right knowledge for the things of God.

"God needs people who are creative thinkers, and are ready to do their best for the progress of the church, who know what the church stands for and are ready to defend the cause of the gospel; who are spirit-filled and are ready to be accountable for whatever God has placed in their hands with good charisma and godly character," he stated, the Cleric said.
