Yuletide: CAC President canvasses moral, spiritual rebirth among Nigerians

In a prelude to the celebration of this year’s Christmas, Nigerians at home and in the Diaspora have been called upon to embrace moral and spiritual rebirth to enable the country move ahead and get to the next level on the path of righteousness in all its ramifications.


The President of the Christ Apostolic Church Worldwide, Pastor Abraham O. Akinosun made the call in a thought-provoking sermon delivered on the occasion of the 2018 Christmas Carol of Nine Lessons held at the All Saints Chapel of the church’s General Secretariat, Anlugbua, Bashorun, Ibadan.


The Christmas season, according to Pastor Akinosun, symbolizes a time for sober reflection for all to jettison their sinful life and make necessary reconciliation with their Creator.


Specifically, the Cleric remarked, Christmas reminds the entire world about the life and times of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, and that it is imperative for all to believe in the mission of the son of God who had come to the world for salvation of the entire citizenry.



Quoting copiously from the Scriptures, Pastor Akinosun submitted that Jesus Christ was born for the entire world and not for a particular group or nationality.


“We should always align our ways with Jesus Christ. If you fail to reconcile your life with Him, you will come before Him for judgement,” he stated.



Pastor Akinosun then listed the social vices hindering Nigeria’s socio-economic growth notably corruption and nepotism and urged the citizenry to support the authorities in fighting these menace to standstill.



According to him, the only way out is for all and sundry to remodel their lives in accordance with the mission of the saviour, Jesus Christ, and embrace moral and spiritual rebirth.
