It was another festival of music
when the Choir and Orchestra of Christ Apostolic Church, Miracle Centre, Love
of God Zonal Headquarters on Sunday November 12, 2018 held her 54th
choir festival with the theme “Time of Refreshing.”
The choir in their colorful and
beautiful attire performed songs like “Zadok the Priest” by G.F Handel, “Mo M’
ore nitemi” by Olusanya Olowookere, “Holy Spirit” by Charlotte Church, “Ole
Olojukokoro” by Seun Owoaje, “Nothing is Impossible” by Eugene L. Clark, “S’otito”
by Late Pastor Yinka Oyesanya, “Thy will be done” Arr. Sunday Adenekan and “Alasepe”
Arr. Sunday Ajayi among others.
Notable musicologists in CAC
Worldwide who were in attendance are Akinyele Regional Choir Coordinator, Elder
Bidemi Oyesanya (SAN), Music Director, CAC Yaba DCC headquarters, Elder S.K.O.
Annan, Assistant Music Director, CAC Yaba DCC headquarters, Elder Sesan Taiwo
and Director of Music, CAC Mountain of Light zonal headquarters, Elder Segun
Akinloye among others.
While preaching on the theme "Time of Refreshing" the guest minister, Pastor Samuel Oladele said the Choir ministry must be supported to bring spiritual refreshing to the church and fulfillment of purpose.
He further stated that the Choir ministry is very essential that if invested on shall contribute immensely to church growth.
Pastor Oladele who is the English Assembly Pastor, CAC Ebute Elefun warned Choristers against pitfalls which can render their service unacceptable.
He said any chorister who want to enjoy divine refreshing in his/her ministry must avoid pride.
The cleric also said that;" you need Jesus to rise to prominence and get to your destination. If you have Jesus you will have all. Jesus is the whole essence of refreshing in life," he noted.
