Halleluyah! CAC Mountain of Light zonal headquarters Ijeshatedo celebrates 44th choir anniversary

It was a kaleidoscope of music, colourful costumes and scintillating arrangement of voices when Christ Apostolic Church, Mountain of Light zonal headquarters, Ijeshatedo Lagos celebrated her 44th choir anniversary on Sunday October 28, 2018.

In its 44 years of inception, the choir has consistently produced musicians through its classical music platform.

The theme of the anniversary which was attended by some renowned musicologists in CAC is "Faith like Mustard Seed." Some of them are CAC Akinyele Choir Coordinator, Elder Bidemi Oyesanya (SAN), Music Director, CAC Yaba DCC headquarters, Elder S.K.O. Annan, Assistant Music Director, CAC Yaba DCC headquarters, Elder Sesan Taiwo and CAC Temidire Zonal headquarters Choir Master, Elder Awofodu Jeremiah among others. Some notable minsters of God who were in attendance are retired Pastor M.O. Adeoye, CAC Itire DCC Superintendent, Pastor Gideon O. Oladokun and Zonal Superintendent Mountain of Light Zone, Pastor M. Olu Ojo.

The Choir performed songs like "With a voice of singing" by Martin Shaw, "Gbemisoke" by Segun Akinloye, "Jesu je ohun gbogbo fun mi" by Segun Akinloye, "Aye ope yo" by Olabisi Osasona, "S'alabo mi" by Bidemi Oyesanya and "Patewo" by Dayo Oyedun among others

While preaching on the theme of the anniversary, the guest minister who is the Curate Pastor of CAC Mount of Blessing, Surulere Lagos, Pastor Peter Oyedele said faith is very vital to please God and that is why the Bible says it is impossible to God without it.

He categorized faith into three which are low faith, little faith and great faith.

"The level of your faith will determine how you work with God and your produce. You produce according to your faith. Until you understand who God is and what is capable of doing, you can't please or enjoy Him. You can only enjoy God according to the faith at work in you," Pastor Oyedele explained.
