Christ Apostolic Church Youth Fellowship (CACYOF), Somolu Olalelye Districts' Coordinating Council (DCC), will on Saturday July 21, 2018 hold a Leadership Training Programme (LTP).
The theme of the programme which will start by 9am is "Repositioning the Church for Effectiveness through Leadership and Followership."
The Youth Coordinator of CAC Somolu DCC Pastor Gbolahan Joshua Ayodele told CAC NEWS that Leadership Training programme (LTP) is an annual teaching/training programme for the youth to prepare them for leadership positions in all facets of live especially spiritual and church leadership.
He further stated that the programme focuses on and emphasizes godly and biblical virtues among youth who are the potential leaders of tomorrow in business circles, political, ecclesiastical and academics to mention a few, adding that the scripture says when the righteous rule the people rejoice.
Pastor Gbolahan said: "It is going to be an annual programme by the grace of God though, this is the maiden edition in Somolu- Olaleye DCC. The purpose of this LTP is to produce godly leadership through training and sound biblical teachings among our teaming youths. The vision of LTP is in sync with the visions of our visionary leaders in both Akinyele Region and the CAC Youth officer."
"If one really dissects the church today; as in the body of Christ in general and each denomination and local church in particular, one will notices that the Church is not what it ought to be. Though there is no perfect church yet there is "ideal" which we should aspire to be based on Jesus' and Pauline teaching. Hence, the Church needs godly and effective leaders and followers to do and become what it ought to be. The problems of today's church is not exclusively leadership but also followership. Repositioning the Church for maximal effectiveness requires both the leadership and followership to play their roles well. No matter the effectiveness of our church leadership, if we as followers are not faithfully discharging our responsibilities, there efforts will pay off."
According to him, Pastor Toyin Fashina of Life Gate Chapel, Ibadan, the District Superintendent of CAC Oke Iyanu District, Pastor M.O.Olu-Pillips and himself are the speakers of the programme.
He further explained that: "Pastor Toyin Fashina- He is an ordained pastor in Christ Apostolic Church, he is an alumnus of Olabisi Onabanjo university, Ago Iwoye. He pursues his D. Min at LIFE Theological Seminary, Lagos. He pastors Life Gate Chapel, Ibadan."
"Pastor M.O.Olu-Pillips- He's the District Superintendent of CAC Oke Iyanu District, Jakande ,Isolo. He was the former Youth Coordinator of Somolu Olaleye Zone. He is a renowned teacher of the word."
