Christ Apostolic Church, His
Fame House, Akesan Igando Lagos yesterday Sunday 8th of April 2018 celebrated 10th children anniversary.
The theme of the anniversary is "Proper Parenting for a Better Future."
Some of the children graduated yesterday from children class to adult church.
While preaching on the theme of the anniversary, the assembly Evangelist of CAC His Fame House, Evangelist Temitope Samuel Ologbosere urges Christian parents to raise their wards with the fear and wisdom of God.
He said that Children are God’s heritage, they belong to God (Ps. 127:3) parents are just caretaker/guardian in which they shall give account on how they have taken care of God’s heritage.
He said parenting a child should start even before we conceive (pregnant), stating that we should begin to prophecy good things to the children we will have (1Sam. 1:11).
According to him, during conception and birth parent must speak good things to their children’s life, adding that we shouldn’t wait until they are 10-12 years because it may be too late.
He further said as a parent you must put Christ first in your life, teach your children the bible and about God and encourage them to receive the Holy Spirit.
The Cleric charges the parent to give their wards good training like of moral, domestic, Spiritual, academic, vocational and also apply the “ rod of correction," urging them not to hesitate to rebuke them whenever they err (do wrong) “ though in love”.
The man of God concluded saying parent will reap their wards goal according to the training given to them either good or bad and also God still hold parent responsible for their children to instruct, correct and to discipline them.
"Always reinforce to your children that our greatest life goals is to glorify God in all we do," he concluded.
