The Curate Pastor of Christ Apostolic Church, Oke Ibukun Araromi, Amazing Grace Zonal Headquarters, Pastor David Abolarin has said that academic, professional or material excellence minus marital excellence is failure.

He noted that marriage is the foundation and bedrock of any living church of God and it must be taking with all sense of seriousness.

Pastor David stated this today Sunday 11th February, 2018 while preaching on the theme "Nine Great Mistakes Before Marriage."

He defined marriage as a legal and spiritual union between a man and a woman that are compatible.

The Cleric gave acronyms of marriage which are; M- Moving into, A- Almighty God, R- responsibility, R- required covenant and, I- in, A- all human, G- generation and E- existence.

According to him, marriage is God's required covenant for generational existence, adding that inability to follow the procedure of marriage would hinder its purpose from coming to reality.

Pastor David said that marriage is meant to be enjoyed, not endure, but today many people are enduring it.

He disclosed that the nine great mistakes every single youth must not make before marriage are;

"Marrying anyone with the aim of changing his/her character."

"Marrying someone because of money."

"Marrying someone who  is difficult to deal with. If your spouse to be find it so difficult to apologise whenever he/she is wrong, exit such courtship."

"Don't marry because she is pretty or he is handsome."

"Don't do what you will regret of in your courtship, e.g taking of vow or oath."

"Sampling, gambling or double dating is a mistake many people take before marriage."

"Premarital sex: Make the bed undefiled.

"Parental negative influence."

"Age: Don't rush into marriage because you are old. Don't be tempted into marriage because your friends are married."
